U Mole offer a wide range of trailer mounted twin capstan winches utilised for the installation of pipes and cables into existing ducts or trenches. Available for sale or rental the equipment includes Hammerhead® Hydroguide, Volta® and Tesmec® designs.
All units are all of a twin capstan design and feature hydraulic dynamometers with set point and automatic control of maximum pull as standard as well as automatic load limiters to ensure preset pulling parameters are not exceeded and that the new pipes, ducts or cables being installed are not damaged.
Adjustable drop down boom kits and a full range of accessories are available for all winches enabling them to be used safely and efficiently for a wide range of applications including insertion of new gas and water and sewer pipes or liners into old existing mains, or the insertion of cables into existing ducts or open trenches.
Available in 2 tonne – 20 Tonne variants all of the winches are of a high quality offering long life and durability in the field. Operational controls are clearly laid out and simple to follow with most of the equipment featuring fully proportional rope speed and payout/pull back controls with dead mans handle functions as standard.
